software engineer working on lab automation, scientific instruments, and data analysis
i build software for biosensor testing: instrument firmware, a desktop acquisition app, robot control, and the analysis pipelines downstream.
work
lab automation cell
I built the server and pipette driver that coordinate an Epson robot, a Seyonic pipette, and a HemBox reader. Operators start biosensor tests from the HemWare desktop app.
biosensor readers, firmware to desktop
I worked on the Gen7 reader firmware, built most of the HemWare desktop app, and developed DiracNet for curve classification and diracwhere for data analysis.
machine-vision inspection of sensor chips
I built a robot station that photographs each chip on a biosensor board through a fixed microscope. The system aligns the board, adjusts focus, and saves images for review in a browser.
- robotic assembly of FAST plates
- robotic functionalization of sensor boards
- opentrons OT-2 liquid-handling protocols
- reverse-engineering a nanoliter dispenser
- inkjet printing of biosensor panels (Marco S-Jet)
- fixtures and CAD
